I’ve had some adventures lately. Mom takes me on adventures when the weather gets warmer . . . my favorite is SUSHI!! We go to magic Sushi 2 here in Winnipeg is Awesome. I can eat more than mom and its so delicious.
The man that is there is really nice too, he gives me juice boxes sometimes and always says Hi. I like to watch them make the sushi too. For my special birthday lunch mom surprised me with sushi at home too, cause I’m 8 now, and it was super fun. Mom bought these rolly stick things she says we can use to make our own. We’re going to try one day. I could eat it every day. Yum!
Also, for my birthday instead of having a big party I got to take 2 of my best buddies to a hockey game it was So. Much. Fun! best birthday ever! We even got our pictures on the big screen – we looked cool.
Anyway, we tried some more chips.
Guacamole Doritos . . they aren’t actually anything fancy or from a far away place, but they are only here for a little while so mom said we could add them. They are pretty tasty, they don’t really taste like the guacamole that I eat at home but they are sill pretty good.
Then we had Cucumber chips. They are from the same place as the Lime ones that tasted like pie so I thought these were going to be really good cause I like cucumbers too. They weren’t.. They tasted super weird but what made it super weird was they really do taste like cucumbers. I just don’t like them as a chip. They shouldn’t be chips.
Mom and Shanny found some chips from Thailand to try. They are seaweed tempura, and that’s what we have at sushi so these should be awesome. They are not. They are not good at all. They taste like fish, really bad fish. Shanny said they weren’t so bad and ate them. I tried two and I decided no more. Mom had one and couldn’t finish it. I did not like them. At all.
Ive been able to see and do some fun things the last few days. I really like it when mom stays home from work. I get to have fun adventures with her. It makes me happy.
see you all soon!
My first fun chips in a long time and I picked the coolest bag ever! These came in my Japan package and they are AWESOME!
these are my most favorite ones I have had by far. I thought they were going to be sour but they aren’t! The taste exactly like Key Lime Pie. NO seriously . . . . they actually taste like a piece of pie. The crunchy chip part not really but you cant really taste the potato.
I was Shocked! I didn’t even want to open another bag to try, and that shocked mom. So I told her they are exactly like pie and she didn’t believe me at first, I could tell, so she ate one and then said they taste just like key lime pie, just like I said. She said they taste creamy like the filling – and I saw her take a couple more so I know she liked them too.
you have GOT to try these, I don’t know why we don’t have them here . . . but they sure make me want to try the blueberry ones if I ever see them.
2 big thumbs up!
We aren’t using Dads laptop for my blog but that’s ok because Mom bought a keyboard for her tablet and now its better than Dads laptop so that’s good.
Know what I’m going to be doing this weekend?
TAYTO CHIP TESTING!!! Im so excited, I have all kinds of chips left to try and guess what . . . I can use my blog to help me get a beaver Scout badge! Learning all about different countries potato chips means I can get a cooking badge.
Im so stoked!! Do you know how awesome that is?
I wanted to let you guys know i’ll be back and testing more chips. Mom said she really likes helping me with my blog and missed doing it too.
YAY! More Tayto chips!!
We have had some technical difficulties here. Our household laptop has died. It gave us many good years, but its time has come.
Mom and Jason have been working really hard and I’ve been doing a lot of playing, ship testing and started back to school – so we are trying to write my Blog on a tablet. It’s actually kind of fun, it can do 2 things on the screen at once (Split screen on a Window Surface) I like it a lot.
First special thing . . . Tinkertown. If you don’t have a place like tinkertown that’s really sad. It. Is. AWESOME. Mom took me and Nixon one afternoon with Shanna (Moms cousin but my Shanny)
They have all kinds of rides and a some games. I liked the spider red, it spins and squishes you into people, Mom made the Tilt A Whirl go really fast. I didn’t like the pirate ship still but mom and Nixon liked it a lot. The Ferris Wheel scared mom a lot but she still went on it. My buddy slept over and we tried a LOT of chips. Mom took videos but we can’t get them up on here just yet, Jason can figure it out I think so those are coming soon. Right now I’m going to tell you about what we tried.
First we tried more from the USA, Deep Fried Dill Pickle. Larry The Cable Guy makes them and the chili cheese fry ones from before. I LOVE dill pickle chips but these tasted different from pickles kind of. Not as sour. Nixon said they were the best dill pickle chips he had, mom said that too but mom doesn’t
even like dill pickle chips.Next we tried Kansas City Steak. SO SALTY! I didn’t like hem at first but then they started to taste really nice, and then I wanted more of them. But I still think they were too salty. Nixon liked these a lot too – and he’s a vegetarian! We tried a whole lot but mostly have videos of them, the last I’ll write about tonight were from Italy. They are Mediterranean flavor, they had a tomatoes and basil on he front so I was excited to try them. All they tasted like was potatoes. I was disappointed but Nixon really liked them a lot, he likes the potato flavor.
I’m going to write about more soon but I want to be able to show the videos too. Mom said she will do her best to fix that or to at least get more pictures on my blog (she takes a LOT of pictures)
Thanks for reading and see you soon!
I’ve been keeping busy the last few weeks with collecting chips and shopping for my gift boxes to send around the world. Mom put that on hold because we may have a postal strike, but she says it should be ok now to send stuff. I’m excited for that, I think it’s pretty awesome that you can take a box to the post office and then it will go to a whole different country. That’s pretty exciting I think. I wonder how long it would take me to go to these different places . . . I looked at my map and I’d have to fly to most of them, or take a boat. I would rather take a boat. I’ve been going on all kinds of adventures, picking strawberries, going to Zoo camp and I’m even training for a 5Km walk with Mom and her friends (Im going to get a medal when i finish!)
Anyway, I have been given more chips! Can you believe it . . . I didn’t know people were so nice and liked my Tato experiment so much – It makes me really happy to know people like it.
I’d been given chips from Germany, Mexico, Poland, Italy and some more from different USA States. I even have some coming from the UK – I even got some Hotdog flavoured pringles
Ill be trying some more soon and writing about them . . . the first ones I tried though were from Germany, Miss Bertha from Mom’s work brought them for me. They look really cool, I like the bag but wow are they spicy! They taste just like black pepper, Jason really liked them a lot, they sure
weren’t my favourite though. I don’t really like spicy stuff but I do like how crunchy they were.
We tried them out while we played Monopoly . . . . I think I won, Mom says I didn’t but I think she counted wrong.
Im super excited to be back with my Tayto chip tour . . . I even have a binder ready to keep all the bags and notes that I get. Pretty soon the Map from Auntie Jana will be flat enough that I can put it on the wall . . . . I still have to wash my wall first 😦
Thanks for reading about my Germany chips!
It’s been a very busy month for us. Mom and Jason made me concentrate on beaver Scouts, Soccer and school so my Tayto Chip tour had to go on hold for a bit. I’m done soccer and beaver Scouts until September and just in time . . . .
Holy smokes look at this awesome parcel I got! All the way from Japan . . . even the postage stickers on it is so cool. I’m going to keep things in a big scrap book I’ve decided and this is my very first delivery in the mail. I’m so excited!! I found Japan on my map (mom still hasn’t put it up on my wall so we don’t have a picture of that yet)
I even got a letter from the nice lady, Anna, who sent me the package. I’m going to send her some stuff from Canada to try but not to Japan, she lives in the Netherlands . . . this is so cool! She sent me a letter to explain what different kinds of chips and treats are in the parcel, I’m going to try two at a time so right now I tried the Taco and the Pizza.
Look how cool the bags are? They are really colourful and fun looking. Don’t you think?
ok, first Im trying the pizza ones and they are AMAZING! They taste exactly like pizza pops I think (mom agrees, she says they taste just like the dough and sauce) so far of all the chips i’ve
tasted these are for sure my favourite. I had to save some because I didn’t want to eat them all . . . they are SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!
After the pizza the Taco flavour, these were ok, but they didn’t taste like tacos to me. I remember what mom said before that maybe the tacos that I have aren’t the same kinds of tacos in other countries . . . but its really neat to see how they taste different. I think maybe i just was too excited about the Pizza ones. Mom tried these and said they remind her of a Ketchup chip but a little spicier. She might be right.
I can’t wait to travel back to Japan in a little while, but I have lots of places to go yet 🙂
Hello everyone! Welcome to my very first blog post (with mom’s help)
This is my potato chip experiment. I want to try some different chips from all around the world and mark it down on my map. My map is still coming and mom hasn’t figured out how to put one on my blog yet, but we will soon.
I wanted to try chips from ALL OVER THE WORLD! this is what we came up with. I’ve already tried some from Ireland and the United Kingdom. I’ve even tried Haggis! I’ll be talking about them soon but i was just too excited to get my first post done!
I’m really excited to have some new pen pals too . . . . Mom has a friend in Alabama in the United States and we are going to send her family some Canada treats and the will send us some American treats – isn’t that awesome?
I think this is going to be really fun, mom does too. I hope you like our trip around the world in a potato chip bag.
From the Mom: If anyone has any suggestions for flavors to try, please let us know . . . or if youd like some Haggis chips of your own to sample next time you see us 😉
